The Forest of Dean Driving Trials Group held a Gateway event at Cricklands on the last day of the Chepstow/ Cricklands event and luckily the weather was dry though a little windy. We had a good entry list though a couple of late withdrawals due to injury of horses and people, but ten turnouts took part, the dressage was kindly judged by Sandra Fisher and the cones and obstacle courses were designed by Malcolm Brown with everything being built by the club volunteers and some of the drivers . The eventual winners were Emily Healey in Allcomers, Lisa Perrott in Newcomers and Neil Edwards in Allcomers Multiples. Also due a mention Best Cones Jane Hendy, Best dressage Liz Whitehead and best club member Esther Rawlinson. Sara Jane Hayes kindly took photos which can be found on her Facebook page.
The next club event will be on 12th July at Putloe Court and will be a World Cup type event.
