British Carriagedriving is delighted to announce that it is looking for new Council members to join the organisation as part of the ongoing process of ensuring there are Council members with the correct skill set to assist the organisation’s growth.
New Council members will start formally following the AGM in November but may be co-opted onto Council ahead of this to ensure a well-managed succession process for key roles and to ensure current areas that need support can have immediate resource.
Rod Holdsworth our current Treasurer will be stepping down at the AGM in November as will Patti Atkinson, who is our Competitions Lead. Both have done exceptional jobs at assisting British Carriagedriving in their respective areas of expertise and Council is looking for volunteers to take on these roles. Job descriptions for these posts are below.
In addition Council wish, as part of the strategy to grow our sport, to recruit a person onto Council with the specific purpose of helping to increase sponsorship into carriage driving by creating a sponsorship strategy and building and managing relationships with sponsors. This is a unique role and a strategic one for British Carriagedriving. Administrative support will be available from BC Office.
The roles all offer exciting opportunities to be part of the growth of British Carriagedriving and Council would be delighted to hear from anyone who has the skill set and time to offer to the sport.
