Marie (24) has worked her way up the FEI single horse rankings to finish on the top spot in 2024. She was placed fourth in the World Championships for Single Horses at Haras du Pin last year and was also successful as a young driver winning individual Silver in Selestat 2021. Marie drives for Luxembourg and outlines her career as follows: As a junior and young rider, I compete internationally, in parallel to my driving. I started riding at the age of 5 on a little Shetland pony, on which I also did my first competitions. Over the years I had the privilege to be trained by an enthusiastic coach, who brought me from beginner level up to international St Georg. At the age of 12, I started carriage driving, competing in my first World Championship in 2018. In 2020, I won my first international competition and finished 15th at the Worlds. In 2021, I became vice-european champion U21 in Selestat and also won my first 3* competition in Haras du Pin in the same year. In 2021 we finished second in the CAIO 4* in Pau with the Luxembourg team and I was second individually. A seventh place at the World Championships in 2022 was absolutely unbelievable and I did not think I could better this result but in 2024 I came fourth - just a tiny bit away from the 3rd place! And to finish the 2024 season in 1st place on the World Ranking List is just amazing. All of this is only possible with the wonderful horses I have by my side and the great team behind me, supporting me all the time. Additionally I hold a riding and driving trainer licence, and have a Bachelor in sport science. I am looking forward to working with the British Young Drivers!
