Organisers of the Midlands Carriagedriving (MC) event at Thoresby Hall (15 and 16 May) are looking forward to greeting competitors at this favourite venue, south of Worksop.

Thoresby (NG22 9EP) is easily accessed from the A1 and has a capacious working-in area with flat dressage arenas. The marathon course is approximately 12k running across the beautiful Thoresby estate while the six obstacles are dotted around the parkland and in front of the Hall.

Closing date for entries is 29 April. Entries can be completed online at the MC website (below) or apply to Steve Trebble: Tel: 01623 863846 or email:

Looking ahead, this season sees a new MC event at Oasby in Lincolnshire to be held 18 and 19 September. The venue is a long-established BE event course offering ample flat parking, plenty of warm-up space and flat dressage and cones arenas. The marathon will be 12k to 14k over fabulous terrain with superb views. The six obstacles will utilise space around fixed BE jumps and through woodland.

Well signed from the A52 at Grantham, Oasby (NG32 3ND) is an excellent competition to prepare for the BC National at Osberton in October. If Covid conditions allow there will be catering throughout the day with an evening meal on the Saturday.

Obstacles at Oasby will be built around some of the existing BE jumps. Photo courtesy of Bennington Carriages.

31 July - 1 August Regional and Club 2DE at Onley Grounds
