Investing in the Future of British Carriagedriving
The Legacy Fund is intended to enable strategic investment in initiatives that strengthen participation, improve standards, and secure the future of carriage driving across the UK.
Priority Areas for Funding
Legacy funding may be used to support:
Membership Growth Initiatives
New projects with a clear potential to increase British Carriagedriving membership, such as welcome or taster days, and promotional activity aimed at other equestrian disciplines.
Support for Key Events and Venues
Investment in critical events or venues to enhance their long-term viability and success, for example obstacle grants.
Equipment Investment
Purchase or improvement of equipment that supports the development and expansion of the sport.
Training and Education
Initiatives that strengthen knowledge, standards and participation, including support for coaches, trainers, officials and members.
Assessment Criteria
All applications will be carefully considered against the following principles:
- Demonstrated need
- Potential benefit and impact
- Sustainability and long-term viability
- Fairness
- Value for money
Applications are open to British Carriagedriving affiliated clubs and current members. Each proposal will be assessed on its individual merits and local circumstances. All awards are made at the absolute discretion of the BC Council.
Initial enquiries are welcomed and may be directed to any Council member or the BC Office prior to submitting a formal application.
