First 2020 National Event at Ashfields
British Carriagedriving are delighted to announce that the first National event of 2020 will be held at Ashfields on 14-16 August. Subject to the planned easing of Government restrictions on 4th July, entries will open on 5th July and close on 26th July, at which point Ashfields will decide if they have sufficient entries to run. Entries should be made via the events page on the BC website, either on-line or by using the entry form which can be downloaded. Assuming minimum entry levels are reached and the event goes ahead, this will be a selection event for the Horse Singles World Championships at Pau (FRA) in October. Special measures will be in place to comply with Government guidelines to ensure the safety of all involved. It’s been a long wait this year but there’s definitely light at the end of the tunnel.

Bywell National Driving Trials cancelled
Regretfully, following a decision made by the owners of Bywell Estate, we have had to cancel the Bywell Horse Driving Trials 2020 which was due to take place on 28-30 August. We fully understand the Estate’s decision since they would be unable to assist us as they have in previous years. They are understandably concerned about social distancing guidelines. Hopefully we will be able to resume activities in 2021. Stay safe. Patti & Keith.
