Fabulous new venue for Midlands Carriagedriving
8 January 2019
Midlands Carriagedriving (MC) has secured a fabulous new venue for its 2019 competition season.

Locko Park, situated east of Derby and easily accessed from the A52, will host the clubís third event from 8 to 9 June.

The two-day trial will be set in the picturesque parkland in front of Locko House with the marathon section running for approximately 12km in total including six obstacles.

MC is indebted to the Drury-Lowe family for giving permission to the club for this event.

The season itself kicks off with a practice day followed by a one-day event at Anslow, near Tutbury on 20 and 21 April.

Thoresby Park will once again be the venue for the next competition (18 and 19 May) with the anticipation of flatter arenas than last year for the dressage and cones.

Details for the weekend of July 6 and 7 have yet to be confirmed, however, the date of 3 and 4 August at Onley Grounds is definite. This event, now upgraded to a British Carriagedriving Regional competition, will also host the 2019 Young Driversí Championship as well as running club classes.

MC is seeking another new venue for its Club Championships in September so if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on suitable locations, please contact the club chairman, Dave West, on 01630 661314 or email: soudley@btinternet.com
