Try Carriage Driving day at Bennington

19 May 2016

by Wendy Palfrey

Students from Nottingham Trent University - Brackenhurst Equestrian Centre, Foundation 2 Sport Horse Management and coaching course visited us today at Bennington Carriages to “Try Carriage Driving”.

The day gave an overview of carriage driving, including harnessing up, rein handling, factory tour and driving indoors/outdoors.

The outdoor session, included some fun skills test, which were very well received and a lot of fun too!

We talked about the sport of carriage driving . All the students could see so many comparisons from riding - driving and I am sure we will see a few of them at events either cheering us on or stewarding.

A great day was had by all.

Here are just a few quotes from the day:

"Fantastic day, beautiful carriages and horses, wonderful day"

"Fantastic day, brilliant staff"

"Bennington Carriages is a wonderful place to visit with great educated people"

"A brilliant day, great fun"

"A fantastic introduction to an exciting sport- once is never enough!"
