The BHDTA is delighted to announce that start fees will be suspended for all 2011 National and Regional events, including the National Championships.
This is the result of negotiations between Chris Hillman, the BHDTA Director of Marketing, and Hugh and Karen Scott-Barrett.
Chris Hillman said: "We know start fees have not been popular with drivers, but it is one of the few ways in which the BHDTA can fund itself. Thanks to Hugh and Karen's very generous donation, we hope drivers will be able to maximise the number of National and Regional events they attend."
Although this arrangement is for the 2011 season only, the search for sponsors continues in the hope we don't have to reintroduce start fees in 2012.
In addition, to help more Club drivers make the transition, they can now enter their first season in Nationals or Regionals as an Associate Member (?54) and not as an Introductory Member (?70). Anyone who has joined as an Introductory Member will be refunded. The Introductory membership class has been dropped. Please contact the BHDTA office for further details.
