YOU ARE INVITED TO COME AND ENJOY
A DEVON DASTARDLY WEEKEND !

16/17 June 2007

at Battisborough Cross, Holbeton, Nr Plymouth.

By kind permission of Anthony Mildmay-White, David and Philip Rogers,
the National Trust, Arnold Sawyers, and Anne Walters-Symons.

All members of the BHDTA and affiliated clubs are welcome.

On Saturday there will be a 10 mile drive - or 15 miles for those who want a longer drive - round and across the Erme estuary (at low tide) with a stop and picnic on the beach at Mothecombe. Bring your bathers if it is warm, binoculars for bird watching, a picnic for yourselves and haynets and headcollars for equines. This is a really fun drive with plenty of time to have a splash in the water. This drive is almost entirely on the Flete estate with very little roadwork.

On Sunday we have a rare opportunity to drive round the old Revelstoke carriage drive along the coast from Noss Mayo to Mothecombe. It is approximately 20 miles, but as long as your horses or ponies are fairly fit it is an easy drive and must be the most fabulous drive anywhere in the country. The views are absolutely spectacular. It is a drive you cannot afford to miss.

Camping will be available at Battisborough Cross from Friday night with a barbecue on Saturday evening.

This drive is a MUST for everyone!
