The British Horse Driving Trials Association is delighted to announce that they have secured the sponsorship of CRAGHOPPERS for the second year at the 2004 National Carriage Driving Championships.

Leading outdoor and travel brand CRAGHOPPERS, is delighted to be the principal sponsor of the British Horse Driving Trials Association?s National Championships in September 2004. Not traditionally associated with the equestrian market, Craghoppers has clothing ranges that more than fit the bill. They offer an extensive range of clothing for anyone who loves being outdoors. Protective, hardwearing and practical, their garments are ideal for the adrenaline pumping, mud-flying action of horse driving trials.

The Championships, which are privileged to have H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh as their patron, takes place from 10th to 12th September in Windsor Great Park against the wonderful backdrop of Windsor Castle.

Carriage driving is one of the world?s fastest growing, but least well known sports. Horse driving trials is unique; it is the only equestrian sport where you can compete on an equal footing from 14 to 70+, male and female alike with both ponies and horses in such an exciting environment.

The generous sponsorship provided by Craghoppers will enable the BHDTA to promote the championships and to encourage the sport of carriage driving to a larger audience.

Craghoppers was first established in 1965 in Batley, West Yorkshire, before being bought by the Black family (owners of Regatta Great Outdoors) in 1995. With over 30 years experience in producing high quality technical outdoor clothing, Craghoppers have produced clothing for hill walker and mountaineers and more recently have been positioned in the forefront of the travel and outdoor wear market focusing on innovation, style and comfort.

So teaming up with the world of carriage driving now also gives Craghoppers the opportunity to promote their range of products in todays equestrian market.

Look out for former European Champion Georgina Frith who this season makes the transition from pony teams to horse teams; she will be wearing clothing from the 2004 CRAGHOPPER range to help emphasise the suitability of their products.

This year?s event will also be supported with private driving classes sponsored by Voice Products, and a light trade turnout class sponsored by Carriage Driving Magazine. In addition the event will, for the first time, be playing host to The Windsor Classic Car Show and Autojumble on the Saturday, making it the ideal family weekend.

With the great support of Craghoppers the BHDTA will be able to move the sport even further forward into the public eye for everybody to enjoy both as spectators and competitors.
