2002/3 Driving World Cup dates & drivers

After the success of the Driving World Cup last year, the second season gets under way in Stuttgart, Germany on 20-24 November 2002.

The Driving World Cup 2002/3 series takes place at eight indoor venues around Europe, culminating in the finals at G?eborg in Sweden on 27-30 March 2003.

Ten four-in-hand drivers have been selected to compete in the World Cup and each driver has to choose four events out of the eight. At each event a "wildcard" entry is also given to a local driver, giving a starting field of six.

The drivers competing this season are: IJsbrand Chardon and Mark Weusthof from the Netherlands, Rainer Duen, Michael Freund and Christoph Sandmann from Germany, Tomas Eriksson from Sweden, Gert Schrijvers from Belgium, Werner Ulrich from Switzerland, Chester Weber from the USA and Boyd Exell from Australia.

Points are awarded to drivers at each event according to their placing and the 5 drivers with the highest points after the eight events will go on to compete in the finals at G?eborg.
